Superintendent's Welcome

We are committed to providing a quality educational experience to each and every child that comes through our doors.   I can promise you Limestone Walters will provide:

  • An outstanding staff that puts children first

  • A rigorous and relevant curriculum

  • Open and timely communication about your child’s progress

  • Appropriate interventions to help your child meet his or her goals

  • A Board of Education that provides resources in a fiscally conservative philosophy that does not jeopardize programs or student services

  • Opportunities that extend beyond the classroom to provide a well-rounded educational experience for your son or daughter

There is so much more to the school experience than just test scores.  At Limestone Walters we are committed to providing the best possible opportunities, and with the help and support of our parents, we are able to do just that.

The staff and I thank you for choosing our school and trusting us with your children each and every day.

About Mr. Dotson

This school year marks my 34th year in education, and my 17th year serving as Superintendent at Limestone Walters.  I received both my undergraduate and graduate degrees from Bradley University.  I received my educational specialist degree from Western Illinois University. Currently, I am in a doctoral program through Aurora University.  Prior to coming to Limestone Walters, I was a junior high mathematics teacher at Deer Creek-Mackinaw and later in Peoria District 150.  During that time, I also coached baseball and basketball.  From 2001 to 2007, I served as the junior high principal at Oak Grove West #68.

I have been married to my wife Kathleen for 27 years and we have two children - Ella and Ben. I enjoy golf and cheering on the Bradley Braves, St. Louis Cardinals, and the Chicago Bears.
